1) Final Fantasy VIII is considered as one of the best 3D game for Playstation console.

2) The game ranks as number 6 to the best-selling games for Playstation console. It has 8.15 million copies sold worldwide and approximately accumulated more than $50 million in revenue just several weeks from its release.

3) Squall's ultimate weapon the Lion Heart is obviously a pun to his last name, "Leonhart".

4) The name Lion Heart is also a famous monicker to one of history's most celebrated king of England, Richard I. He is known for his bravery and exploits during the Third Crusade and was called "Richard Cœur de Lion" even before his campaign to liberate Jerusalem from the Muslims. His reputation as a bold and skillful warrior and a genius military tactician earned him a place in several literary works such as mentioned in the legends of Robin Hood.

5) Quistis Trepe's whip, Save the Queen, is one of the famous armaments that reappeared in several Final Fantasy titles. It is often represented as a sword with powerful stats. In rare instances, it is categorized as another type of item other than a sword such as in Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

7) The weapon Ehrgeiz is Zell Dincht's ultimate weapon. It is a German word which means "ambition."

8) Did you know that Ehrgeiz is also the title of a 3D fighting game published by Square Co., the publisher of Final Fantasy series? The game was released for Playstation console in 1998 and was republished for Playstation Network by Square-Enix in 2008. Some notable characters in the game are Final Fantasy VII's heroes, namely: Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Yuffie Kisaragi and Vincent Valentine.

9) It is interesting to note that Quistis Trepe's avatar is the only one that faces to the right portion of the screen, while other characters are facing the other way.

10) Selphie Tilmitt has been a recurring character from several Final Fantasy titles such as in Dissidia Final Fantasy, Pictlogica Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade.

11) Did you know that Selphie Tilmitt also made several reappearances in a non-Final Fantasy titles? She is one of the minor characters in Kingdom Hearts games such as Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.

12) Whenever she is currently not in the battle party, Selphie Tilmitt is the default pilot of the Ragnarok. Otherwise, Zell Dincht will take over her place. If the two are currently unavailable, Quistis Trepe will become their temporary replacement.
