1) Final Fantasy X is the first title in the series to have a direct sequel namely the Final Fantasy X-2.

2) Unlike its predecessors, Final Fantasy X features voice acting scenes rather than just subtitles.

3) Did you know that the game re-released in Japan was given a slightly different title? It is called Final Fantasy X: International. Some minor changes in the game includes newly introduced bosses and some Sphere Grids.

4) A remake of the game for Playstation 3 is called Final Fantasy X HD Remaster. It was released on December 26, 2013 in Japan and was later released for North America and Europe on March of 2014.

5) There are only five Aeons in Final Fantasy X that are needed for the progression of the story, while the rest are optional.

6) Pterya is a Greek word which means "wing." This is the reason why the Aeon Pterya is called Wing in Final Fantasy X HD Remaster.

7) Pterya is originally called "Tsubasa" in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy X. The word also means "wing" in Japanese.

8) Bahamut, Ifrit and Shiva are all recurring summon characters in Final Fantasy series. They are collectively called in various names such as Summons in Final Fantasy III, Eidolons in Final Fantasy IV and Espers in Final Fantasy VI.

9) There are much confusions among fans about how to pronounce the name Tidus. Early accepted pronunciation is Tee-das, while other prefers Tie-dus. It was not after the release of Kingdom Hearts when this issue was finally ended. His name is actually pronounced as "Tee-dus".

10) Did you know that Tidus' most powerful sword, Caladbolg, is actually called Ultima Weapon in Japanese version of Final Fantasy X? Nevertheless, both are recurring weapons from Final Fantasy series and sometimes called interchangeably when translated.

11) In Irish mythology, the sword Caladbolg is a legendary greatsword of Fergus mac Roich. The name is best translated as "hard cleft". In some literary works, it is also written as Caladcholg, which means "hard blade".
