Fire Emblem Awakening Fun Facts

1) Fire Emblem Awakening is the first game in the series to offer downloadable content (DLC). Most DLC comes with a price before one can unlock them.

2) Did you know that you can't play the North American (NA) version of Fire Emblem Awakening in Japanese Nintendo 3DS? This is because the console is locked by regions. So one must buy a NA console to play the NA games and this also goes the same to their European and Japanese counterparts.

3) The Marriage System that was introduced in the series from Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War is revived in this game.

4) The Avatar feature in Fire Emblem Heroes of Light and Shadow is retained in Fire Emblem Awakening. Thus, players can still create their own heroes or heroines.

5) Unlike it's traditional way of promoting the main protagonist in Fire Emblem series, Chrom cannot advanced in higher class by progression of the story. Instead, he must obtain a Master Seal to change his class to Lord.

6) The name Tigris was probably named after one of the two famous rivers in Mesopotamia.

7) Some of the characters in Fire Emblem Awakening borrowed their names from the 88 constellations such as Canis, Draco, Libra and Lepus.

8) The name Equus is probably a derivative to the Latin word "Equuleus." The latter is one of the constellations which symbolizes the Little Horse.

9) Canis is a Latin word for "dog," which is named after the two famous constellations. These are the Canis Major and Canis Minor, which mean the "Big Dog" and "Little Dog" respectively.

10) Although the Divine Dragon Naga is first seen in Fire Emblem Awakening, yet her name was first mentioned in the original game and also appeared in Fire Emblem Genealogy of Holy War and Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon much later.
