1) Tales of Symphonia is the fifth main title in the Tales series and the third to be released outside Japan with a North American version.

2) Did you know that Tales of Symphonia is a sequel of Tales of Phantasia, but its story is actually a prequel of it? Nevertheless, not much information is given in the game that will shed light to a greater understanding on the gap in timeline between the two events.

3) The events in Tales of Symphonia took place thousands of years before Tales of Phantasia, but the exact time gap is still unknown.

4) It is interesting to note that the combined worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla became known as the world of Aselia in Tales of Phantasia.

5) Sheena Fujibayashi shares a last name with Suzu in Tales of Phantasia. This openly suggests that the former is the great ancestor of the latter.

6) In one of her character artwork, Sheena Fujibayashi is seen wearing the "Successor Costume." It is the exact replica of ninja clothes that Suzu Fujibayashi used to wear in Tales of Phantasia.

7) Did you know that the name Fujibayashi is probably a reference to Sabuji Fujibayashi, a 17th century master ninja of Japan? He is also regarded as one of the authors of Bansenshukai, a collection of ninja knowledge about philosophy, astrology, strategy, weaponry and beliefs in feudal Japan.

8) Much to Namco's dismay, Tales of Symphonia's sales fared poorly on its Japanese version for Nintendo Gamecube console. Thus, the developers decided to re-release it for Playstation 2 console.

9) The theme songs of Tales of Symphonia is performed by a J-pop group known as "Day After Tomorrow."

10) Tales of Symphonia features two different official soundtracks (OST) for its two versions. The Starry Heavens theme song from Gamecube is replaced by Soshite Boku ni Dekiru Koto for Playstation version. Nevertheless, the latter sounds like almost entirely the same to the former.

11) Origin is hailed as the King of the Summon Spirit. His name is obviously a connotation to the beginning of time and life itself.

12) Certain names mentioned in Tales of Symphonia such as Ymir, Yggdrasil, Valkyrie, Fenrir and Niflheim are just few examples that openly suggest that the game heavily borrowed its lore from Norse mythology.

13) Did you know that Llyod Irving is the first main protagonist in the Tales series to wield double swords? He used to be the only one for many years until Ludger Will Kresnik from Tales of Xillia 2 was introduced in the series.
