1) Did you know that Castlevania Lament of Innocence marks the earliest canon in the original Castlevania series?

2) Castlevania Lament of Innocence is called "Kyassuruvania" in Japan. It is a simple translation of Castlevania into a Japanese name.

3) The fact that the game is simply called as "Castlevania" in Japanese version may have something to do with its timeline, since Castlevania Lament of Innocence's story tells the origin of the whole series.

4) Aside from the main protagonist, Leon Belmont, there are two more hidden playable characters that can be unlocked. These are Joachim and Pumpkin.

5) To unlock the boss Joachim, one must beat the game once and put "@Joachim" in the name entry screen.


6) To unlock the Pumpkin, one must beat Joachim Mode once and put "@Pumpkin" in the name entry screen.
